![]() ![]() We have recently started 2023, and the so-called PlayStation 2 console scene is surprisingly still doing well, yes, even better than ever before and better than on not one newer platform! And one of the leading projects that anyone interested can mention without a long moment's hesitation is Open PS2 Loader - the successor to HDLoader and USB Advance, a program used to run games from USB, i.Link (FireWire), MX4SIO (a reader for e.g. Unofficial RetroArch (PS4) port by Unofficial RetroArch (PS3) CE port by Future of the PlayStation 2 Internal Hard Drive.Here's a screenshot of Super Scope 6 in RPCS3. Perhaps it can be upstreamed to official RetroArch once more testing is done. No binaries for now but the source code can be found below. There is still some work to be done to get it to the same level as CE however like shader pipeline and XMB/Ozone support. Theoretically the renderer should support all cores in the RetroArch CE but I've only tested on a few cores like snes9x, fceumm, and genesis-plus-gx. I've also included experimental PSMove support which is supposed to act like a lightgun. It includes a 2d renderer that utilizes librsx and a couple shaders. I've made some progress on the PSL1GHT version of RetroArch. These two release help fill in the gaps until those official builds debut (see unofficial tab), ![]() but if you want to play some Retro Games on the PS3 or PS4 there are some unofficial solutions for both the PS4 (as mentioned above) and also there is the RetroArch (PS3) Community Edition for the PS3 from developer also has been a contributor to the psl1ght ports as well. While your waiting for the official release's on those console's you can checkout the Official PS2 / PSP / PS Vita / PSTV ports on the release page at. Thanks to various ps4 developer's like / / & We now have a build that is close to an official release created with the OpenOrbis SDK. The same thing was happening with the PS4, while we had a very functional unofficial RetroArch PS4 port as seen here in the forums by the dev, it was never adopted in the official project's mainline repo, because the official team preferred a OrbisDev (OpenSource SDK) PS4 port. As the official team removed the old PS3 port in favor of the Open Source psl1ght SDK. For sometime there has been an unofficial port of RetroArch PS4 by develope r, who (unrelated to ps4) also shared recently his progress on the psl1ght port for the PS3 here forums, to help bring the PS3 back into the mainline RetroArch repo. If you follow the psx-place twitter feed, you may of seen a retweet from libretro's officialaccount yesterday, announcing the RetroArch PS4 code being merged and adopted into the mainline RetroArch code repo, this mean soon we could see the official release of RetroArch PS4, as the official team has accepted the Orbisdev Port submission from scene developer's. ![]()
